Spousal Open Work Permit-123
An open work permit may be applied for by spouses or common-law partners of full-time students with a valid study permit. An open work permit will allow the overseas student's spouse or common-law partner to work. Your spouse or partner will not need a job offer to apply, and his or her permit will be valid for the same amount of time as your study permit. This is a fantastic way for your spouse or common-law partner to become involved in the community, obtain useful work experience, and make some extra cash. After you arrive in Canada, your spouse or common-law partner can apply for a work permit on your behalf.
You can apply for a PGWP spouse open work permit at the same time as your initial study permit outside of Canada. Your minor child(ren) may also study at the preschool, primary, or secondary levels without study permission. Please note that children accompanying an adult in Canada on a work or study permit are permitted to attend pre-school, primary, and secondary school in Canada without study permission

When Should You Submit Your Application?
Spouses seeking open work visas should be able to apply either before or after arriving in the country. Work permits are always valid for the same amount of time as the study permits. Outside of Canada, open work permits can be processed by connected centers (Canadian Visa Offices) in a variety of countries. The documents must be sent to Canada through the consulate of that country, which incurs additional fees.
Alternatively, applicants could arrange to see their spouses over some time while in Canada and apply for an open work visa while there with a dependent spouse open work permit. While this may not appear to be a pleasant alternative, the fact that your visit is recorded on your passport may be advantageous when you apply for a spouse work permit. When spouses do not require a TRV, the application can be completed at the airport or the border, making it simple to obtain an open work visa shortly after entering Canada.
Application For A Spousal Sponsorship Work Permit In Canada
A work visa in Canada is typically obtained in two steps. Before applying for a Canadian spousal open work permit application, most applicants will need to have a job offer.
In the great majority of circumstances, the initial step toward acquiring a Canadian work permit is to submit an application to Employment and Social Development Canada for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) (ESDC). Typically, the Canadian company must conduct domestic recruitment, fill a spouse open work permit document checklist, and show that no Canadian permanent residents or citizens are qualified for the position.
Following the issuance of a positive LMIA with all the documents required for a spouse open work permit, the candidate can apply for a work permit in Canada.
Unless a worker holds an open work permit, work permits are employer-specific. A worker must obtain a new Work Permit before performing another job in Canada if they want to change employers. Work permits in Canada are similarly limited in the term.
For both Canadian companies and temporary foreign workers, we handle the whole Canadian Work Permit process.
Fee Spouse Open Work Permit Requirements

Applicants must provide biometric information if it is requested. Photos and fingerprints will be taken. More information on how to give your biometrics can be found on this page. Individuals will pay $85 and families will pay $170.
