Ontario Nominee Program

Immigrants from all around the world flock to Ontario.

Nearly 40% of Canadians live in Ontario, which is Canada's most populous province. Ontario is also home to Ottawa, Canada's capital, and Toronto, the country's largest metropolis. Ontario is the economic, social, and political heart of Canada in many ways. The province of Ontario is by far the most popular location for newcomers to Canada. Every year, the province accepts one-third of all newcomers. Job possibilities, a high standard of living, and a diverse population attracted people to Ontario. In reality, more than half of Toronto residents were born outside of the country.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is the name of Ontario's Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) (OINP).

Prospective immigrants with the talents and expertise sought by the province may be eligible for a provincial nomination from Ontario, following which they can apply to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada for permanent residence in Canada (IRCC).

What if you can enter Canada without a visa?

The parent and grandparent Super visa program is still relevant for people who are nationals of visa-exempt countries.

Parent and grandparent Super visa-exempt nationals are usually allowed to visit Canada for six months without getting a visitor visa. A parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who is a national of a visa-exempt country can apply for a Letter of Introduction from outside of Canada and present it to a border officer once they arrive in Canada under the Super Visa program. When a Letter of Introduction is submitted, a Canadian border official will usually allow the individual to enter Canada for a two-year term and can also turn the Super visa to permanent resident.
